Terence Crawford has been considered one of the best active pound for pound welterweights in the world and he proved why on Saturday night. In his third title defense and after an 11 month layoff he was able to deliver a TKO knockout, with Referee Tony Weeks stopping the fight at the 1:14 mark. Starting off the fight Kell Brooks was able to frustrate Crawford with his jab and trade punches for the first 3 rounds. Crawford who is known to be a slow starter came out using the orthodox stance. In the third round Terence Crawford switched his stance to south paw, all but eliminating Kell Brooks effectiveness with the jab and in the 4th round he stunned Brooks who was saved by the ropes. After a standing 8 count Brooks continued to fight, but was still dazed and Crawford went in for the finish. Referee decided he had seen enough and stopped the fight because Brooks was bent over and no longer returning fire or defending himself.

Crawford is looking to fight Manny Pacquiao who has not fought since July 2019. Most boxing fans would like to see the 2 top ranked fighters in the world get it on. When will Errol Spence Jr (Ranked #1) who is set to fight Danny Garcia December 5th and Terence Crawford (ranked #2 ) finally step in the ring. Bob Arum says Crawford would take out Spence in the same amount of time it took for him to take out Kell Brook. Hopefully PBC and Top Rank can come to an agreement somewhere in 2021.
